Born and raised in Brooklyn, New York, Kayenne studied at various dance schools around the city. She began dancing at Abundance Dance Academy of the Arts, Brooklyn Ballet. She went on to attend Fiorello H. LaGuardia High School of Music & Art and the Performing Arts. Currently attending the Boston Conservatory at Berklee, Kayenne is focused on growing her artistry, with support from her professors John Lam, Kurt Douglas, Brian McGinnis, Junichi Fukuda, Ruka Hatua-Saar White, and Adriana Suarez. At the conservatory, she has worked with Andrew Skeels, Andrea Miller, Kurt Douglas, and Omar Román de Jesus.
